Chelle Nae Q&A

Q). How things with you?
Things are great! Lots of exciting things happening in this last quarter of 2022 and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunities!
Q). Where did the whole Chelle Nae journey all begin?
In the womb to be honest. My family has a long line of artists, painters, writers, musicians and creators. It felt like a natural thing for me to gravitate towards. Once I was old enough to hold A tune I began singing in church choirs.
Q). Your single ‘Never Again’ is available now. How has the response for that been?
The response has been great! I’m especially proud of this track because it’s one of two tracks I’ve released thus far where the lyrics, the beat production and the vocals were all created by me!
Q). Whats it like being in the studio with Chelle Nae?
I prefer to create songs from start to finish in one session. Normally if I’m recording my own sessions, I start with creating a beat and then the lyrics flow in the process. I make sure to keep my voice recorder on to catch the intuitive moments during the beat making process. Once I’ve solidified the structure of the song, I start recording! Overall, I’d say it takes me on average about 3-5 hours to produce 1 song from scratch to rough mix.
Q). How would you describe your sound?
I’d like to describe myself as an intuitive artist. I don’t have one specific genre or sound I resonate with. I moreso create and release based on what my intuition senses is needed for myself first. There’s a certain frequency sound emits and I’m very particular on sensing what sounds will help aid certain intentions I’d like to manifest in my reality. My new Music will showcase this more than the songs I’ve already released
Q). Is there anybody who you would love to do a track with?
I’d love to work with Iniko! They have been doing amazing work and I’d love to create sporadically with them. I’d also love to work with an Afrobeat producer and an EDM producer!
Q). Who is your biggest influence?
My biggest influence is my life. It’s true when they say that art is the imitation of life. I write from personal experience and it’s my life itself that influences what I create. Outside of life Jhene Aiko, Prince, H.E.R and Michael Jackson are the creators that I get the most inspiration from. Their journey and their music impact me on a metaphysical level.
Q). Why did you choose to get into the music industry?
I didn’t choose, it chose me from a very early age. I always knew I would be making art.
Q). What would you say is your biggest achievement in music so far?
All the songs I’ve created are my biggest achievements. I take pride in knowing that my art has travelled further than me! I haven’t even been outside of the USA!
Q). What can we expect from you for the rest of the year?
Expect the Unexpected!
Q). Do you have any social media for new fans to follow you?
I’m only on IG for now @chellemusicofficial! The link in my bio is connected to my music media platforms as well.
