Q). Hows things with you?

Things are good thank you! Pretty busy actually, I’m working on new music and releasing new singles.

 

Q). Where did the whole Kihmy journey all begin?

It started a long time ago, I have been always into music. At age 25 I decided to produce my music, so I learned how to do it and worked on my voice. In 2017 I released my debut EP, Only For Love, a seven-song body of work.

Q). Your single ‘It Won’t Be Late’ is available now. Tell us more about that?

I’m really excited about this track. I worked hard on it and I love how it sounds. You can feel some dance/house elements, nostalgic deep soulful vocals, and powerful, evocative synths. This track is also very important to me for its lyrics; it goes through different aspects of our existence and It's a hope to change.

Q). Whats it like being in the studio with Kihmy?

I create music in my home studio, so you can find me on the keyboard tryna find some new sounds and melodies or recording vocals, or just working on the rhythm. I also collaborate with others producers, usually in their studios; a lot of ideas come out, and there’s always something to learn and share.

 

Q). How would you describe your sound?

I would describe it as a Smooth Soul/RnB, with a dark atmosphere, deep voice, and intimate lyrics.

 

Q). Is there anybody who you would love to do a track with?

I think that It would be great to work with Tricky and Paul Kalkbrenner.

 

Q). Who is your biggest influence?

There are so many, but If I have to choose, I will say Tupac, Iam, Laurin Hill, and Bob Marley

 

Q). Why did you choose to get into the music industry?

I wanted to release my music and share it with people.

 

Q). What would you say is your biggest achievement in music so far?

My biggest achievement is my debut EP Only For Love, the first project I produced entirely by myself.

 

Q). What can we expect from you for the rest of the year?

I will drop some new tracks and hopefully, I will perform some gigs.
