Q). Hows things with you?
I'm good, just recovering from a car accident so I'm taking it slow. I really got to live twice .
Q). Where did the whole Lanray journey all begin?
MY JOURNEY Began in 2009, I used to freestyle a lot but they had no meaning just nice flows, so My friend bankyondbeatz told me keep working on your flow, the lyrics would come.
Q). Your E.P ‘Step It Up’ with Teckzilla is available now. Tell us more about that?
It was magic. I was headed down a different path, trying new things out and Teckzilla held my hands and pointed me in the right direction. I just kept it simple and did what I was good at.i was going through a break up and I live in the slums of ikeja in Nigeria. So step it up is a mirror of my emotions at that time in my life
Q). Whats it like being in the studio with Lanray?
If you like to vibe a lot , you feel at home. Every idea is welcome as long as it is share with love.
Q). How would you describe your sound?
I call it the Undiluted street sound. Hard-core Raps with mainstream elements.
Q). Is there anybody who you would love to do a track with?
Yes!!!!! J.COLE for international and Alpha Ojini for Home-based.
Q). Who is your biggest influence?
Life is my biggest influence when writing, but J.cole influenced my style .
Q). Why did you choose to get into the music industry?
Damme Krane once told me Music na blood, you just gats do am. Since them I've been doing it Cause it's in my blood.
I love music that's why I'm here .
Q). What would you say is your biggest achievement in music so far?
You get to live twice. I don't hear a scared unsure rapper. I hear the version of myself I want to hear.
Q). What can we expect from you for the rest of the year?
Another project.... I just need my hands to heal. Then I'm dragging Teckzilla back into the studio to make USB (UNDILUTED STREET BOY)
