Wholelotta Q&A

Q). How things with you?

I’m doing good, just minding my business and staying out of the way.

Q). Where did the Wholelotta journey all begin?

I started doing music for the first time back in summer 2020. Just randomly decided to go to studio - I had already started writing songs prior to the studio session.  I didn’t release anything properly up until January 2021. I never would’ve thought I’d be putting thoughts into a verse let alone actually doing music lol.

Q). Your upcoming single ‘Colder’ is available soon. Tell us more about that?

The song is partly a tribute to my late older brother who passed away when I was 10 years old. I drop a couple references to him during the track. The track can be interpreted as a “pain” song or also a “jumpy” song, depending on listener’s perspective. (I changed the beat for this song twice before actually releasing it).

Q). Whats it like being in the studio with Lotta?

In the studio I’m very laid back, focused, calm, cool and collected. I also tend to joke around and play about with whoever persons I’ve invited to studio whether it’s one person or a group of people. I encourage whoever is in the studio to give me honest feedback and inputs as the session goes on -  I take criticism very well because it has been extremely helpful for me evidently. (You have fun with me when you come to my studio sessions - good vibes only).

Q). How would you describe your sound?

Unique, gritty and exciting. When you listen to Wholelotta, you have no choice but to feel good and enjoy the sound.

Q). Is there anybody who you would love to do a track with?

Currently, there isn’t anybody I’ve got my eye on. Like I said, I’m just minding my business and staying out of the way. When opportunities come I make decisions accordingly.

Q). Who is your biggest influence?

My older brother. He gives me a reason to continue.

Q). What would you say is your biggest achievement in music so far?

Releasing my music on my YouTube channel. It seems pretty small but since I started doing this, my views and interactions have been more organic and authentic.

Q). What can we expect from you for the rest of the year?

More music of course. Possibility of a project too. Keep an eye out.

Q). Why did you choose to get into the music industry?

I was experimenting. It started off as a hobby. Then gradually became something I took more seriously due to the reception and feedback I was receiving from other people.

Q). Do you have any social media for new fans to follow you?

Only Instagram and Snapchat.
