Q). Where did the whole John O. journey all begin?

As a young kid in elementary school, but back then I was Jay Fresh.

 

Q). Your single ‘August 5th (Elegante)’ is available now. How has the response for that been?

It's being received very well, the women love it and the young lady I wrote it for loves it too.

Q). Whats it like being in the studio with John O.?

Fun and easy, I enjoy being in the studio...I'm at my most creative there.

 

Q). How would you describe your sound?

Boom Bap yet smooth, But i also have a hard edgey side. The perks of being a Gemini.

 

Q). Who is your biggest influence? 

In Hip Hop LL and Whodini, R&B Marvin Gaye & New Edition

 

Q). Why did you choose to get into the music industry?

It chose me.

 

Q). What would you say is your biggest achievement in music so far?

I just learned that my single Classic is being considered for a Grammy nomination.

 

Q). What can we expect from you for the rest of the year?

More music solo wise and with my group Tha Gecko Brothas.
