Klaudia Keziah Q&A

Q). Hows things with you?

Things are good, just dropped new music so been busy & the year feels like it’s flying by so fast!

Q). Where did the whole Klaudia Keziah journey all begin?

I first started music at age 8 when I attended classical music school in Lithuania (my home country). There I learned to play cello & piano. I continued playing cello all the way through college & uni.

I first started singing age 16 at college! Never knew I’d take singing further, but even as a little kid I knew I wanted to be a musician when I grow up!  I was part of a college band and my band members encouraged me to sing and from there I continued to write songs and sing them myself!

The engineering side came about around 9 years ago, when I started engineering my own vocals, so that’s how it got into that side of things!

Q). Your single ‘Hero’ is available now. How has the response for that been?

Yes! It came out 2 weeks ago and I was super excited for this one! Reaction has been good, I’m feeling the love from all my females who can relate to the songs message

Q). Whats it like being in the studio with Klaudia Keziah?

Both as an artist & engineer I’m a perfectionist when it comes to studio sessions. So if it’s me recording myself or another artist I’m mad strict with it, I don’t care if it takes 80 takes, it’s got to be right haha! I always try to push myself & others to the limit to get the best out of the track.

Q). How would you describe your sound?

I always find this hard to answer as I just make stuff that feels good to me. But I’d say alternative r&b would describe it! I let people decide

Q). Is there anybody who you would love to do a track with?

I’ve got a few tracks coming out with some dope collabs, but I love female collabs. Huge fan of Mahalia, Doja cat,  Ice Spice, Megan thee stallion, Latto. Just bad b*tches who’s music boosts your confidence every time!

Q). Who is your biggest influence?

I think overall in life all the strong women in my life, my mum, sis, gran and my friends. They inspire me to be the best I can by seeing how strong they are.

Musically, I love artists that are different and unique with their sound and writing. People like Frank Ocean & Nao have always inspired me to just create stuff that I enjoy rather than trying to fit into a box.

Q). Why did you choose to get into the music industry?

I guess I’ve been set on being a musician since such a young age, I’ve not even tried or thought about any other path. Definitely tunnel vision. I think life is too short to do stuff/ work  that don’t resonate with you.

I also really enjoy being behind the scenes as a mix engineer. People are still shocked to see a female in the producers seat, but I feel like there’s so many women working “ stereotypically male roles”  behind the scenes in the industry and I love to see it.

We need to keep breaking these stereotypes down one by one.

Q). What can we expect from you for the rest of the year?

Got some exciting collabs dropping this year, which I’m buzzing to share

Q). Do you have any social media for new fans to follow you?
