Q). How things with you?

Things are good, can't complain at all.

Q). Where did the whole Jai journey all begin?

Haha The JAI Journey began in 1985, Nah I guess I was 12/13 when I started writing poetry but not really bars and then in 2005 I went to Deal Real Record shop in Carnaby Street to watch an instore and the rest is history, it was still a year or so after that until anyone heard anything though.

Q). Your single ‘BFM (Big Fat Mood)’ feat. Nutty P is available now. How has the response for that been?

Its been a decent response, when you're putting things out independently with minimal budget, you tend to not really get your hopes up but the feedback has been dope so far. We've got a video dropping too for that one.

Q). Whats it like being in the studio with Jai?

A rollercoaster ride some might say. But you're definitely due to witness some comedy gold, you know what they say about musicians being comedians.

 

Q). How would you describe your sound?

Hmm never been asked that question before.. Its like hood meets stoner hippie

 

Q). Is there anybody who you would love to do a track with?

There's loads of people but I've gotta say Jadakiss, he's consistently been in my top 5 since I started secondary school and I ain't heard a shit verse from him ever

 

Q). Who is your biggest influence?

I think my biggest influence is my grandmother,she showed me how to be strong in the face of adversity but still keep a kind heart.

 

Q). Why did you choose to get into the music industry?

I didn't really choose it just sort of happened.

 

Q). What would you say is your biggest achievement in music so far?

My biggest achievement is probably my track 'So Stubborn' ft Giggs being chosen to feature on Top Boy on Netflix.. Writing an invoice to Netflix, was definitely a moment.

 

Q). What can we expect from you for the rest of the year?

I'm currently working on 2 projects.. The first you will hear is an EP in October
