Q). How things with you?

Chillin chillin, just working and such, living in a new city for the first time, having fun. It's dope.

 

Q). Where did the whole Love, Ulysses journey all begin?

Technically in 10th grade (2013-14), I think that's when I came up with the 2nd half of my name. I was making beats at the time bc I wanted to get into rapping but I wasnt good at it yet lol. 

I ended up dropping it for a while and didn't come back to it until ab 2019 with my 2nd tape "MUSH". 

So ig about 8-9 years ago.

 

Q). Your single ‘LBB’ feat. Jason Griff is available now. How has the response for that been? 

It's been great, that was apart of a 4 single series I was doing with my friend Jason Griff on the beats. 

People seem to enjoy me getting some anger out so I can't complain.

 

Q). Whats it like being in the studio with Love, Ulysses? 

Probably a lot jokes and screaming, and then a song eventually gets made somewhere in there. I'm usually making music by myself tho.

 

Q). How would you describe your sound?

I honestly couldn't tell you loll ig I try anything that sounds good. I'd like to believe there's a consistent theme that runs thru just bc of my ear, but I mostly like to let the people that listen to decide! It's more fun that way.

 

Q). Is there anybody who you would love to do a track with? 

Hopefully one day billy woods off the top of my head. I really enjoy his story telling and think we'd prob make something cool. But also a bunch people from my city too, Metasota, Muja Messiah, BLOOD $MOKE BODY, Psalm One, etc.

 

Q). Who is your biggest influence? 

Earl Sweatshirt. DOOM. Slipknot. Ab Soul. It's a whole gang of folk lmaoo

Aesop Rock and Roc Marci are big reasons I write raps and make beats and try to do both well.

 

Q). Why did you choose to get into the music industry? 

Idk if Id say I'm in the industry per se, but I just really enjoy music and wanted to make sure I had space to do even in adulthood. W/ bills, added responsibility and whatnot.

 

Q). What would you say is your biggest achievement in music so far? 

Performing at First Ave! The 7th Street entry stage, but it's still First Ave loll
