Crotona P Q&A

Q). How things with you?

Things are stable at the moment. God is blessing and I'm appreciative.

Q). Where did the whole Crotona P journey all begin?

The Journey all began on e.179st in The Bronx NY and has taken me upstate to Rochester NY where I've resided for the past 12 years.

Q). Your single ‘Great Things’ with Manzu Beatz feat. M Doc Diego is available now. How has the response for that been?

The response has been great thankfully all the deejays that support us played it on their shows plus the video is doing ok on paka the plug's YouTube channel so I'm happy with the outcome so far.

Q). Whats it like being in the studio with Crotona P?

Being in the studio with Crotona P is usually pretty cool especially if we're able to smoke bud while creating but even if we going in straight business I'm pretty easy to work with but I also prefer to record at home alone most of the time without any outside opinions. Where I can create freely.

Q). How would you describe your sound?

My sound is the standard sound you grew up listening to if you're from the 90s or 2000+. I try not to move to far away from what I love. It's cool to experiment from time to time flow wise but sound I prefer the standard boombap sound.

Q). Is there anybody who you would love to do a track with?

I would love to collaborate with my underground peers that are working in the same circles as myself or close quarters investing in themselves and any legend I grew up listening to willing to hop on a track with me is always an honor.

Q). Who is your biggest influence?

My biggest influence would have to be my mother. Shes been my life support through the years and confidant. Her work ethic has influenced me mainly and her ability to believe in something strongly influenced me.

Q). Why did you choose to get into the music industry?

I chose to get into the music industry to make a humble living creating what I consider art. More than anything to be respected as dope lyricist.

Q). What would you say is your biggest achievement in music so far?

My biggest achievement so far has been being able to record full length projects with producers around the world. Russia,Spain, Italy, South Africa, plus many in the states as well. Just to create respectable bodies of work is the ultimate achievement for me.

Q). What can we expect from you for the rest of the year?

Before the year ends I plan to release another project God willing but I'm working on a few at the moment so not sure which one exactly yet but I will be shooting a few more videos for my project with Manzu Beatz Serious Shit being the next one I will be getting shot.
