Olly Calvert Q&A

Q). Hows things with you?

Things are all good. Can’t complain. Just Tryna Pave a way for my future and figure out my purpose.

Q). Where did the whole Olly Calvert journey all begin?

All started back in school, age 13, I’ve always been around music but it all started with me messing around on GarageBand all for a bit of fun, then expanded into making beats then went on to recording vocals and then have just progressed from there. I’ve always seen music as and outlet and no matter what happens it’s always there, no matter weather I’ve got writers block or I’m not feeling like making music I can always come back to it.

Q). Your single ‘Dark Days’ is coming soon. Tell us more about that?

My new single dark days, has been a massive improvement for me musically, working with @scottwhitmanmusic , him helping me out with the recording of the song and mix and master. Lyrically wise there lyrics that relate to me and if people find a way to relate to them then that’s even better.

Q). Whats it like being in the studio with Olly Calvert?

In studio sessions, I like to just let it flow and as soon as me or who ever I’m working with catches a vibe, I just let it go from there, I like having time to work on music that’s why I like having my home studio cause I can take as much time as I want on a song.

Q). How would you describe your sound?

I haven’t really found my sound yet, that’s what I’m working on at the moment but for the most part of music I’ve done probably alternate rap.

Q). Is there anybody who you would love to do a track with?

There’s nobody I have in mind I would like to do a song with as long as it sounds good and it’s real and authentic then I’m down to work with anybody.

Q). Who is your biggest influence?

Musically I’m influenced by people that try to make music that’s different, cause it’s so hard to do nowadays.

Q). Why did you choose to get into the music industry?

I wouldn’t class myself as being in the music industry, I’ve still got along way to go. But Like I said for me music is always there, it’s always an output for me.

Q). What would you say is your biggest achievement in music so far?

My biggest achievement in music for me personally has been me being able to to connect with people and have built multiple true freindships that will last forever.

Q). What can we expect from you for the rest of the year?

I’ve got a few things in the works, but I just wanna keep working on my sound and put out the best music I can.
