Q). Hows things with you?

I’m very good, it’s feels great on the 6thfloorshow! I’m excited...lots of school and music work to do...but I’m feeling great.

Q). Where did the whole Joshy Flow journey all begin?

Hmmm...Uhmm well I’ve been singing and since I was 10..indulging in school and church music activities and sometime in 2016/17 I got featured on a song with one of my classmate which turned out better than I expected..and then decided to do a single that same year which got a lot of positive feedbacks and I’m like hey why not keep in dropping ...and since then I’ve been on the run!

 

Q). Your single ‘Slide’ is available now. Tell us more about that?

Yeah..Slide is a great song and it is a song I’ve been working on for a while now abd thought why not release it. The song centers itself on African women, the strength, smartness beauty of African women.

 

Q). Whats it like being in the studio with Joshy Flow?

Well it’s all about vibes and learning..I like to learn from whoever is in the studio with me..either from the producer or you know..whoever has some knowledge on music. I’m a perfectionist..so I’m never really satisfied😂 I always want to try again..”let’s have another take”😂

 

Q). How would you describe your sound?

My sound has changed along the years and still changing. I’m a versatile artiste and so my sound is not still..I like to experiment on beats cause I listen to lots of different genre. But for the fact that I have more afrobeat in my catalogue and . Afrobeat is the sound of the future... my sound is futuristic!

 

Q). Is there anybody who you would love to do a track with?

Hmm..lots of people, but as of now? Majid Jordan. He’s got Cool sounds.

 

Q). Who is your biggest influence?

The million dollar question😂Like I said earlier I listen to a wide range of genres...so there’s no particular person. But Drake is number one on the list..

 

Q). Why did you choose to get into the music industry?

I love music, a hill I’m ready to die on. Music has changed me in ways I wouldn’t have known..it has made me communicate more and understand life... It’s something I love to do. Music can’t die, it always going to be in history and for something I love to do..I’ve decided I want to put mark on it...I want to be able to inspire others, share and communicates my experiences in the best way possible. I want be one of those who put my city on the map like Burna Boy.😌

 

Q). What would you say is your biggest achievement in music so far?

Hmmm...I can’t really say but I mean I’m having a Q & A with the 6thfloorshow..my music has travelled to places I’ve never been to..people around the world vibe to my music..I mean with the little catalogue I have..I’ve been able to get thousands of streams,downloads and sales all organic, without any record label or any one assisting in the level I’m in. I’ll still be pushing forward cause I know where I’m headed to.

Q). What can we expect from you for the rest of the year?

Yeahhh...well I’m working on my second EP; Mood Swings Vol2. And it’s going to be out before the end of this year, so watch out for that!
